Outlined in the keynote Tony McGinn discussed the 3 main components of a business: “build”, “run” and “sell”.
Raising questions and provoking thought around a leaders and CEO’s ambition, focusing on why some are not achieved their sales goals. One of the major takeaways from the event was a look at a how most salespeople fall into sales, it’s not a profession like others, as it lacks the tertiary education. Most salespeople learn on the job and practics on clients.
Salespeople can truly make a company success, though they need the right protocol and support.
A lot of questions were raised by the attendees such as:
1. How do you transform an active Sales and Business Development team on the job?
2. What to look for in your next salesperson?
3. Why sales training failed?
Tony covered these questions and many more inviting audience to share their thoughts and issues, furthermore Tony shared the business health check tool which allows CEO and leaders to conduct a self-diagnosis.
